Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Canadiana challenge. You pulled out your patriotism in full Red and White! The ornaments turned out amazing. Come out to Avenues and see them displayed on the tree if you haven’t already! Today, three members of the board of directors Donna Haid, Julie Jamieson and Marg Martin came to perform the official judging.
Submitted by Angela – For their event marketing class at Conestoga College, four second-year business marketing students created and ran an event to raise funds and awareness for Elmira District Community Living. The event was held on November 1st at the Conestoga College Doon campus. With the help of their sponsors; Parkwood Seniors Community, Elmira Gift Outlet, and Woodhouse restoration company, and participants, they raised over $350.00 to put towards a sit-to-stand lift needed for EDCL’s day program!
